I was inspired to write this song after my dad, who found love after my mom passed away 6 years ago, called to tell me is engaged to be married again, to someone who loves him dearly, a woman who has been with him long-term after my mom's passing. They truly deserve happiness together. This song is dedicated to my dad and also to my husband Ben (who wrote the song with me) who I acknowledge for their work ethic, inspired living, sense of humor, and emotional substance.
